The Birds Bees and Blooms Symposium for 2010 is History! The Symposium was a great success. Thanks to everyone who made it possible by volunteering, donating, presenting or attending.

If you're a visitor to our area or a curious nearby resident, join us at one of our monthly meetings or call (or e-mail) one of our Contacts for club information or about birding in the Macomb County area.

Our meetings comprise interesting programs, recent area bird sightings, a short business meeting, and, of course, refreshments (key to any birder's agenda). Our meetings and field trips are open to the public. We don't charge fees unless noted on the schedule. So feel free to visit us and see what we're all about.

For information about us, check the links on the left menu or at the bottom of this page. To return to this page, use the browser's Back button or press the menu's Home button.

Announcements: The results are in from our annual Bird-a-Thon in support of Joe Rogers' Wildlife Recovery Association (WRA). This year, despite the rotten weather, we tallied a total of 161 species. Mike is still collecting the pledges so we'll have to see how much we raised.

Barb Baldinger and Tom Heatley have finished compiling the results of Macomb Audubon's 2009 Christmas Bird Count. You may read Barb's writeup, and a copy of the results appears on our web site.

We have recently received the July 2010 Edition of the Michigan Audubon Chapter Connection newsletter. It's available on our Other Events page.

We have another Peregrine Falcon Update on our Peregrine Falcon Page. Chris Becher and Barb Baldinger are on the job and this time around there are photos and some links to Web Cams. Read more on our 2010 Peregrine Falcon Page. We'll post more updates as they arrive throughout the year.

Macomb Audubon's newsletter The Earthstar publishes bimonthly. Issues are published in January, March, May, July, September and November.
