Exciting News! Macomb Audubon will be holding our Birds, Bees and Blooms Symposium on March 6th, 2010 at the MSU Management Education Center. Please check out our page for more information. The registration form is now available and the deadline is March 2nd. If you are interested in becoming a vendor there are a few tables still available. Contact Colleen or Margaret for more information, and you can now download the vendor form from the B3 Page. New: You may now download the Birds, Bees & Blooms trifold folder. If you're a visitor to our area or a curious nearby resident, join us at one of our monthly meetings or call (or e-mail) one of our Contacts for club information or about birding in the Macomb County area. Our meetings comprise interesting programs, recent area bird sightings, a short business meeting, and, of course, refreshments (key to any birder's agenda). Our meetings and field trips are open to the public. We don't charge fees unless noted on the schedule. So feel free to visit us and see what we're all about. For information about us, check the links on the left menu or at the bottom of this page. To return to this page, use the browser's Back button or press the menu's Home button. Announcements: Barb Baldinger and Tom Heatley have finished compiling the results of Macomb Audubon's 2009 Christmas Bird Count. You may read Barb's writeup, and a copy of the results appears on our web site. We have recently received the Holiday Edition of the Michigan Audubon Chapter Connection newsletter. It's available on our Other Events page. Kariann has sent us her 2009 Peregrine Patrol summary, covering all the local falcon activity this year. It was really been quite the productive year. The word is that Kariann is moving to Texas and will not be continuing as the SE Michigan Peregrine Coordinator. Best of luck Kariann from all of us! Brian McGee has updated the Macomb County Birding Checklist. It's available from our Birding Macomb page. If you have anything you wish to contribute to this page please feel free to contact us. Macomb Audubon's newsletter The Earthstar publishes bimonthly. Issues are published in January, March, May, July, September and November. If you have anything you would like to contribute, the deadline is the 12'th of the month preceding publication. And if you have lost yours, just can't wait to read the latest issue, or just like reading it on line, follow this link to the current Earthstar in .pdf Format! Files in .pdf format require Acrobat Reader. |
