Detroit Falcons - 2011

This has been a very busy season for Peregrine Patrol! Here is a summary of the most active SE Michigan nesting sites from Chris Becher, MDNR Southeast Peregrine Falcon Nesting Coordinator and Barb Baldinger, MDNR volunteer and photographer:

AT&T Detroit: 3 young fledged

Blue Water Bridge , Port Huron: 2 young fledged

Campbell Ewald Building , Warren: No nesting; male Zeus moved to Pontiac

DTE Power Plant, Monroe: 2 young fledged

Fisher Building , Detroit: Nest failure

U of M Flint: First nesting on the Mott Foundation Building failed; 2 babies from second nesting at the UM Northbank Center banded on July 12th.

Macomb County Building , Mt. Clemens: 3 females banded and fledged: Diana, Edna and Rosie

AT&T Pontiac: New nest site, female identified as Screech from Toronto , Ontario and male is Zeus from Cleveland , OH; 3 young fledged

U of M Hospital, Ann Arbor: New nest site, female identified as Thunderbolt from Columbus , OH , male unidentified; 3 young fledged

U of D Mercy, Detroit: 4 young banded and fledged: Iggy, Catie, Mac and Reno
